Gael Sébastien Monfils: He was born on September 1, 1986, and is a French professional tennis player recognised as "La Monf" or "Sliderman" due to his extraordinary sliding methodology, especially on clay courts. He reached a career-high ATP world No. 6 singles ranking and is now France's No. 1 player. His career highlights include reaching the play offs of two Grand Slam singles competitions, one at the Paris Masters and the other at the Monte Carlo Masters. He was given the name the ATP Newcomer of the Year and has ten ATP World Tour singles titles to his name, as well as twenty-two ATP Tour runner-up ends.
